Hi Mark,

In \iMS\MXCache.bak there's a bunch of entries that look like this, in
the format of....
domain=mailserver|date record inserted
An example of one of our cache records...
bgea.org=mailgw.bgea.org|04222008161530
Does anyone know how long this cache lasts? Is it refreshed on any
basis? Is there any mechanism to control how long these records last
before they are refreshed?
I recollect discussing this with Howie way back when it was implemented
and I thought the timeout for MX records was the TTL of the DNS lookup
that gathered the information. That doesn't quite fit with the info you
typed above as there is no TTL info and the dates are definitely in the
past, as in created date (I just took a look in our equivalent file) so
I am now puzzled.

restarting POST, but I'm more interested in making sure the cache
doesn't refresh for a certain time while I do some testing.
Change all the dates to the future?
