I think that the latest version of the post server is leaving .mail files in the out
folder when sending delivery failure
notifications. One of our staff reported this to me today when testing a customer
configuration issue. As far as I'm aware these
files are nuisance files and are not indicative of a bigger problem (in other words,
mail is being delivered properly but additional
control files are being generated which have no purpose).
I'll write back when I have additional information.
