This has more than likely been a bug since iMS 1.x. What happens is that the
customresponse is not reset - meaning that once you
use it in any thread it can possibly crop up again on the next connection.
This is already fixed in the 2.5 beta server. We were going to make the 2.5 beta
closed but I can probably release the smtp server
generally (and maybe the post and cfx_imsmail tag).
