Thanks Howie,
On further investigation it appears that these messages are related to virus files attempting to be delivered. I guess they are poorly formatted and/or improperly attached. Does the warning message get propagated so that we can catch it in one of the processing templates like data.cfm?
As for the warning messages. In a perfect world I would like to see a list of all the messages that iMS might conceivably write into any of the log files; along with the reason it was put there, where it can be 'caught' in the processing templates and what the implications are if you find the message. I say "In a perfect world" so perhaps this qualifies as a 'wish list' item.
Thanks again,
Brett B)

As per RFC, an email is terminated by a sequence of CRLF.CFLF
iMS is simply warning you that the email was not properly terminated. This could be due to several reasons including problems with the sender. We've tried to make the error messages clear and I've found that most users question the TCP/IP error messages which are documented at www.sockets.com

Subject: [iMS] WARNING: Received message unterminated.
Hi,
I've just noticed that I am getting lots of these messages in the SMTP logs, since late last week.
Does anyone know what it means and whether it is something I need to be concerned about.
And... Are all these warning and error messages documented somewhere so that I can just look them up without harrasing the list members?
Regards and thanks,
Brett B)
