A question/comment/word of warning about applying the CFMX Updater if you are not running IIS... This relates to a previous issue I had trying to get iMS up and running in a non-IIS environment, the problem being that iMS shares or reuses the IIS 'connector' to CFMX but CF will not build the connector if you are not running IIS.
In the past I get a friend to send me his jrun.dll file. After I applied the CFMX updater however the problem resurfaced even though the jrun.dll file was still present. I tried re-running the connector but that seemed to just delete the directory that jrun.dll was in! After putting it back I noticed there was a jrunYYMMDD.log file and in this I found this message: "could not open C:\CFUSIONMX\RUNTIME\LIB\WSCONFIG\2\jrun.ini: No such file or directory"
Eventually I tracked down a sample jrun.ini file on the Macromedia website and with a bit of tinkering everything now appears to be working again. But now I have another log file to monitor!
One to look out for, or am I the only one running Win2000, Apache & mySQL?
