Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone has come up with a formula for identifying spam that is either a) in html format so that it is readable on screen but 'fractured' when you look at the source, or b) one or more image files with little or no text. I'm already doing some analysis based on image file types, length of text etc but I'm concerned that the number of wrongly rejected email might jump...
Also, in the spam logging that I am doing I suspect that there is some level of IP address spoofing going on. Is there a way that we can check the remoteip address without going down the path of RBL lookups? I would anticipate that spoofed IP addresses wouldn't be on the banned lists anyway... Finally, and to try and avoid cluttering the support list with these kinds of issues, does anyone subscribe to a generic mail server support list/group that they would recommend that might be able to answer these kinds of questions?
