thanks for reply. :-) Honestly, nobody told me that InitNG has no logger, I 
simply found none. However, initng.org was not reachable for me the last 
couple of days, so I had no chance to look it up. 

I assume you mean the libstdout.so plugin, as described here: 
http://www.initng.org/wiki/Documents_Documentation_libstdout.so ? Does this 
plugin create accurate timestamps, like any other logger would do? Or am I 
mistaken regarding my choice?

As soon as I have a working set of .i files for qmail, I will contribute 
them. :-)
