I have installed initng-0.6.7 in Freespire from debain testing branch.
When i start initng via init=/sbin/initng, initng displays that it has started, it boots many services and comes to an end and displays that it is up by some milliseconds.No display manager is coming up. I have already added the ldm(linspire desktop manager) to initng daemons.I get 31 services not loaded mainly the reasons being DAEMON_START_DEPS_FAILED or SERVICE_START_DEPS_FAILED.
I am not able to get terminals(tty) thru Alt+F2 also.
I did some search in FAQ and did this change,
Q: When xdm/gdm/kdm tries to load, it gives an error and dies. If I wait for the system to finish booting and manually start gdm, it works.
A: The system needs to wait for the video drivers to load before starting gdm.
Try editing /etc/initng/daemon/gdm.i and change the line:
depends = system/initial system/checkroot system/hostname net/lo
to say:
depends = system/initial system/checkroot system/hostname net/lo system/coldplug
But no change, still its the same.
How would i debug these errors?
