This was mentioned a while back. The main catch, as far as I could tell, was
its total lack of support for dependencies and for daemons that fork and exit.
(In other words, it'd probably require rewriting certain common programs to
work properly, and Apache + MySQL + mod_perl + any webapp that accesses its
database on startup would be a total no-go; Apache on its own might work, if
started differently. I can't remember off-hand what daemons are difficult or
impossible to persuade not to fork and exit, or that can do it but with a
catch, but I have encountered them.)
The configuration files also use XML in a slightly odd way. Also, I have no
idea how it solves the problem of loading drivers, mounting filesystems, etc...
