I can confirm that. This seems to be a problem with the debian packets of
bash, they seem to lack some sort of parameter expension feature. I'm
currently trying to investigate this, however, I've got no debian (or
ubuntu)
installation here.
A quick fix might be replacing line 163 with the following:
export "myscript_$(echo $e|sed 's,-,_,g')"="$(cat "${rlfile}")"
However, I haven't tried it. Make a backup copy of your /sbin/ng-update,
replace the line, and let us know whether it worked. :-)
