Hi.
I've got a very strange problem here, thought maybe someone on this list
could give any hint as to what is happening.

Yesterday I upgraded my laptop running Fedora 8 to Fedora 9 preview.
Suddenly I can't login anymore. I choose the user to login as in gdm,
type the password and a few seconds later I'm back to the gdm screen.
This happens for all users of the machine. In .xsession-errors the last
line says "bind: Permission denied".

Now to the strange part. If I start gdm manually (as root, from the tty)
everything works perfectly fine! Also if I start up using sysvinit
everything works equally fine. This only happens when using initng to
start gdm. Anyone please tell me what is the difference between starting
gdm manually and letting initng do it!

And before anyone asks, no I'm not running selinux.

/Daniel

ps. Oh, by the way. For those of you running Fedora. initng-conf-gtk is
now in Fedora. Just do a yum install initng-conf-gtk and you'll have a
nice looking gui for initng :-) ds.
