Hi Brynn, What would be a really good outreach is if you contact the author of the medium.com article and ask him if he'd like to improve the inkscape.org extension guide with the information he's written on his blog.
that way we don't have to link to something that might disapear for information we should certainly have the best of on our website and we potentially invite a new contributor to help out on the official pages. Thoughts?
