I've been spending the past day or two reading "Extending and Embedding Perl" by Tim Jenness and Simon Cozens. It's a great introduction to XS, and also covers a lot of the hairier stuff. (Such as passing arrays around, structs, etc. etc.) Perhaps take a look at it? (It was released quite recently.) More info at http://www.manning.com/jenness/ cheers, -- Iain.
