I'm imagining an inline'd equivalent to a TIESCALAR function. I know the perltie interface began as an alternative to magic, and I am wondering about using magic with a Inlined TIESCALAR function as a way to implement more efficient tied data, by skipping the tie magic and going directly to fetch and store magics.
