Hi I have been using inlline::java of late and would like to be clarified on a few queries:
1) If i use a perl application which is basically a script calling into java code which can either be packaged as a self-executing jar or packaged in a bat file - Will mulitiple invocations to it spawn a "new" JVM everytime? i.e does each invocation of the process lead to a Start-Up and ShutDown of a JVM . What role does running it in either the JNI mode or SHARED_JVM Mode play in this regard or does it ? and if not what are specific roles it plays. 2)Looking at the makefile generated i did find out the makefile utilizes the "CL" compiler , will a change in the config.pm reflect a cross-platform compiler if i wish to use that? --------------------------------- Never Miss an Email Stay connected with Yahoo!
