Glad you got a work around.

An important part of this is getting the CMake try compiles correct. So those 
flags must be set for the first configuration!

Flags like "-stdlib=libstdc++ -std=c++03" or "-std=c++11" essentially changes 
the language and the try_compile results. If these flags are added or changed 
after their initial configuration then the try_compile results are erroneous 
and the configuration of ITK is inconsistent.

Last I check CMake does not detect this change and does not force a 
re-configure like when you change the compiler. I think this is really a CMake 
issue.

Additionally these "-std=" flags should likely be part of ITK's required CXX 
flags.
