I understood what you were saying, but I was just trying to make the
point that I don't think we have to play God and try and find the top
down explanation. As I said before, I think the fact that we have the
consciousness we have is amazing, in view of our size and
insignificance in the universe. However, I also think that the themes
that pervade the Bible [written by so many writers over such a long
time], as well as the witness of Jesus Himself, point to a far higher
consciousness.
