About bibles - If you contact the Bible Society they will email you material have prepared entitled 'Background Information for effective Bible Sales'. This is an excellent summary of the differences between the various translations from literal (word for word) to Interpretive (thought for thought). It also has 4 verses from 1 Cor 13 to illustrate the differences of each translation.
