The quick answer is that we do plan on providing a commercial license for
situations where following the terms of the GNU AGPL isn't possible or
practical for a number of reasons (security, privacy, other licensing/IP
issues, etc.).

This dual licensing approach has been used by a number of companies/projects
including MySQL and SugarCRM. Here are a couple of blog posts that discuss
this issue in the context of open-source startups (which Insoshi is):

However, I do want to be clear that we *are not* planning on any kind of
"tiered" offering as some dual-licensed projects have done. We want the
open source community and commerical versions to be as close to identical as
possible except for the license.

One of our goals with Insoshi is to ensure that the open source platform
remains open in the sense that updates and improvements are always made
available to the community. And we believe that the GNU AGPL offers the
best way of guaranteeing that.

Definitely feel free to email me directly with any specific concerns about
licensing.
