Hello! The edge branch hasn't been updated since december, and I'm not sure if there will be any update soon with new features.
I'm not going to start openSocial option at this moment, but I'm thinking to add some options to create "special events", that will be like groups, but with calendar events, and only can be created by admins. I'm going to start some integration with Google Maps api, to place those events, so any help, suggestion or plugin will be welcome.
