Is anyone on the list using this card with an Inspiron 7k? I've tried
everything to get it working, but can't seem to get it to work. I get
the 2 confirmation beeps that it is recognized when I insert the card.
I can do a "cardctl status" on it and it says Socket 0: 3.3V cardbus
card present, Function 0: ready.
"cardctl ident" says, Socket 0:. product info: "3Com Corporation",
"3C575A", "Fast Etherlink XL PC CARD", "001". manfid: 0x5057.
function: 6 (network)
The problem is I don't get any light on my cable for 10 or 100 even
though I get the confirmation beeps when I insert the card. I can't
ping out anywhere, but can ping my local IP address.
The card and cable and connection work fine in Win 98.
