I just got a new Dell Latitude D620 and figured I'd install b54 on it. If I boot off DVD without any options, I just get the spinning cursor (|/-- -- you know the one) for literally hours If I boot off DVD and give it a -v, I get Using install cd in /dev/dsk/c1t0d0p0 Using RPC Bootparams for network configuration information. Attempting to configure interface bge0... Skipped interface bge0 Setting up Java. Please wait... and there it sits, for over an hour now. Only sign of life is a blinking cursor and an occasional hard drive activity light flicker. Some googling turned up suggestions to upgrade the BIOS (I'm already upgraded) or to turn off Dual Core (which didn't make a difference). I've also tried telling it to do Solaris Interactive text mode (also didn't make a difference) Is this a known problem? Any workaround? Am I just being impatient (I know the Sparc installs off DVD had long stretches of seemingly no activity, but they weren't anything like this long)? later, chris
