Thanks for responding. Actually I am booting from DVD. This is the problem with sol 10/1106 with grub. and I tried both graphical/text on PATA/SATA harddisks.
I have successfully installed old sol 10(2005 file without grub) on the same hardware but in this case while using Solaris Management Console HArd disk is not recognized. i.e. Hard disk does not show for storage maintenance.
