Hi Emil, I don't know specifically about the Lenovo Y400 model, but it sounds like there is a problem with the hardware. The keyboard should work, even if it isn't one that isn't self indentifying, it should still work. At worst a few keys might be misinterpreted. I have a lenovo 3000 which on which Solaris installs fine. Can you give me a bit of data about this model? How old is it?
