Hi list,
The first time I'm trying to install solaris10 on my laptop. After 5
cds software installation, the installing hangs at reboot stage as
follows:
Reboot
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Press Reboot Now to continue
______________
| Reboot Now |
|_____________|
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No matter how many times I hit the [reboot now] button, and how long I
wait, I didn't get any response, the whole system hangs here.
So I have to power off and power on again, then I got:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
WARNING - The following files in / differ from the boot archive:
/etc/name_to_major
/etc/driver_aliases
/etc/path_to_inst
cannot find : /etc/devices/mdi_ib_cache: No such file or directory
The recommended action is to reboot and select "Solaris failsafe"
option from the boot menu. The follow prompts to update the boot
archive.
To continue booting at your own risk , clear the service:
# svcadm clear system/boot-archive

Although it's the first time I'm playing with solaris, I'm pretty sure
that's not it was supposed to be.
I really appreciate any help and suggestions.
Thanks a lot.
