Installing from sol-nv-b66-sparc-dvd.iso onto a SunBlade 100 with an Adaptec 39160 dual channel scsi controller I see a sequence of messages of the following form:
WARNING: /pci at 1f,0/pci at 5/scsi at 2 (glm0): Connect command timeout for Target ?.0 WARNING: /pci at 1f,0/pci at 5/scsi at 2 (glm0): got SCSI bus reset What appears to be happening is that every potential target on both SCSI channels is receiving a connection attempt and timing out. As there are 14 * 2 of them it takes several hours to get past this stage. Very frustrating! I have seen the problem with nothing connected to the external SCSI connectors and with a properly terminated device connected. I didn't have these problems with earlier upgrades ... I have also tried reseating the SCSI card. It's possible that the Adaptec 39160 has "gone bad" since the earlier upgrades. Any advice? -- John Connett This message posted from opensolaris.org
