Hi All, My home machine was originally set up w/o live upgrade in mind. At long last I was able to backup my system w/ufsdump - repartition the disk - ufsrestore and get my OS back without ruining anything! (I'm not an admin - I just play one on tv)
So... I performed a live upgrade and reboot to snv_67. The system comes up fine until it is time to paint the screen.. then I get a black "X" for a mouse pointer - that works perfectly, but a grey noisy background and that is it.. I've tried booting to single user and running kdmconfig - but w/o success. kdmconfig says unknown terminal type.. I did make it work once and got a screen that was acceptable - but after it wrote out the xorg.conf (I think).. I got back the black X and grey noise background. Any suggestions? Thanks, Bob This message posted from opensolaris.org
