Hello jkeil, Thank you very much for your helpful post. I will check the BIOS to see if I can find a way to stop it but I don't think it has a way to turn off ACPI. Maybe there is some other setting I can try that will have the same effect.
How do we get whoever is handling Grub issues to fix this general problem? This can't be so unusual, it's a Dell motherboard with their factory BIOS. Best Regards, Rand This message posted from opensolaris.org
