Thanksto all who helped me with my CDROM problems. I'm back again! Now that I have the U10 loaded, I'm using it to JumpStart the SB100.
I ftp'd the DVD.iso file to the U10, ran lofiadm, mounted lofi/1 on /mnt, and ran 'setup_install_server'. Then I went into /install/area/Solaris_11/Tools, and ran add_install_client. It did it's thing but... svcs still showed /network/nfs/server and several other services as 'disabled' even after rebooting with /etc/dfs/dfstab in place. Shouldn't 'add_install_client' enable this service? Also after enabling that by hand, I ran 'net boot - install' on the SB100, and got: Rebooting with command: boot net - install Boot device: /pci at 1f,0/network at c,1 File and args: - install Requesting Internet Address for 0:3:ba:4:b5:cc SunOS Release 5.11 Version snv_46 64-bit Copyright 1983-2006 Sun Microsystems, Inc. Attempting to configure interface eri0... Configured interface eri0 ERROR: Cannot find windowing software, Exiting to shell Ignoring the fact (for the moment) that I'm running this on a serial console, and don't need a windowing system... Why can't it find the windowing system? Where is it looking so I can check to see if it's really there or not? setup_install_server ran without error, and there's plenty of diskspace, so I don't see why any files would be missing or not in the right place. Thanks again for everyone's help! -Kyle This message posted from opensolaris.org
