I just wanted to share what I thought was rather strange. Today when I had downloaded build 50 and created the DVD and went on to install my Ultra20 workstation, I found out that some packages was not properly installed.
It started out when I could not get X to start and found out that one of the reasons was that it was missing files. 2 of these files could be related to the package SUNWopenssl-libraries (libssl.so.0.9.8 and libcrypto.so). I then realised that it was my DVD that caused this problem, but what bothers me is how is it possible to (with all this unzipping, copying files, dvd-burning process, pkgadd installations, more unzipping etc.) have a DVD that works ok but installs some packages with missing files??? I managed to re-install the package by mounting the original iso-image. Have anyone experienced this "anomaly" before? This message posted from opensolaris.org
