Is there a clean way to use dns for names and nis for (hokey)legacy user auth? My jumpstart setup uses name_service=dns in sysidcfg, then finish-script-hacks into nsswitch.conf, /var/yp/domainname/ypservers, /etc/defaultdomain, and site.xml to allow nis/client to run-only to have sysidtool shut it down unless I rename ns_none.xml. (don't call it a bug)

The advantage of this is that the !bug doesn't require a hack. Is there a neat and tidy way to configure both services? This message posted from opensolaris.org
