I cook up "dependancy checker" using code which is in development right now. This is just to try - kind or temporary thing which produce list of packages which requested one depends on in the order to install and which are not on the system. It may have bugs as it is yet in development - and it most likely will not be Solaris package utillity, because pkgadd will have this functionality, it is just for now as a temporary rlief or proof of concept...
Intel - pkgdepx <system_root or -> <directory_with_packages> package_name Sparc - pkgdeps <system_root or -> <directory_with_packages> package_name '-" as a system root means check dependancy in the directory only do not check your system. Examples: pkgdeps - Solaris_11/Product SUNWluu SUNWcar SUNWcakr SUNWkvm SUNWcsr SUNWckr SUNWcnetr SUNWcsu SUNWcsl SUNWcsd SUNWadmr SUNWadmlib-sysid SUNWperl584core SUNWmdr SUNWadmfr SUNWmdu SUNWadmap SUNWperl584usr SUNWadmc SUNWesu SUNWadmfw SUNWlibC SUNWlur SUNWluu pkgdepx - Solaris_11/Product SUNWhea SUNWcar SUNWcakr SUNWkvm SUNWcsr SUNWckr SUNWcnetr SUNWcsu SUNWcsl SUNWcsd SUNWhea They were compiled on Nevada. Again, this will be part of pkgadd and patchadd eventually and not only show but actually install all nessesary packages (and also patches). Hope it helps. -vassun This message posted from opensolaris.org -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
