Yes I agree with you about that. 

I'm new to Solaris and the lack of dependency resolution is my biggest 
challenge setting up a "clean" server that does what I want.  I look 
forward to Solaris 11 but it looks like I will have to learn to work 
with Solaris 10 package management, or just install the "Entire Group" 
and make a lot of that stuff shared with my zones so that the zones are 
usable too.
