Yes - when we added nvidia's official driver to Solaris we looked at using
it during install too, but the added size would have made the RAM disk size
need to grow and possibly bumped up the memory requirements we were already
very sensitive about. The slim install work for Project Indiana has made
it possible to use the official nvidia driver during install, so there is
hope for a better install experience in the future.
