Dear All, I am newbie in solaris, and would hope if you can help me out on this.
I installed Solaris 10 10/06 release recently. I started using the Update Manager at Java Desktop to install update. Everything seems ok until I try to install Kernal Patch 120011-14. The following is an message I got from Update Manager. 120012-14 SunOS 5.10_x86: kernel patch Downloaded Update 120012-14 must be manually inspected to determine suitability for installation. 118855-36 SunOS 5.10_x86: kernel patch Downloaded Update 118855-36 must be manually inspected to determine suitability for installation. 125504-02 SunOS 5.10_x86: package-move-of-IP-objects patch Pending restart Update 125504-02 will be installed at next system shutdown. 125548-02 SunOS 5.10_x86: zoneadm indirect dependency patch Downloaded Update 125548-02 must be manually inspected to determine suitability for installation. 126424-03 SunOS 5.10_x86: bootadm patch Pending restart Update 126424-03 will be installed at next system shutdown. So, it seems that it was downloaded, but it wasn't installed. :-( Does it mean I have to install manually? if so, would you please direct me the procedures or sites that show me how to do it? I have stucked in this for about 4 days. :-( I found where the location it was saved.. it is at /var/sdam/spool/ there are a lot of files there too, does it mean all those files/patches are waiting for me to update manually? any help would really appreciated, Thanks in advance.
