Hi there,

I tried installing build 82 on my ultra 10 (my "wingman" box), which I had
previously been running OpenBSD on (but with unaccelerated X). The machine has
256 MB of ram, which I assumed would be plenty, however the installer dies in
an endless loop telling me it is out of swap, which I assume is in RAM at this
stage.

Firstly, have I diagnosed the problem correctly?

If so,

I have had solaris 10 on this box with no problems before, how comes the
installer requires more ram all of a sudden? I think asking 256 MB of ram for
an OS install is a bit harsh. I suppose this will be solved when the slim
installer is introduced?

Regarding the creator/elite3d card which OpenBSD does not currently accelerate
due to to lack of drivers; Was this driver open-sourced along with solaris? Is
there some documentation on how these cards work? I believe they require some
sort of firmware to be uploaded to them before they can operate in accelerated
mode.

Thanks for your time.

Best Regards

Edd
