Pretty much. I believe that's the harder problem, and that static, snapshotted releases can be handled with whatever methods we come up with for the more dynamic scenarios. Since you're already spending some time reading documentation and mapping feature sets to Solaris version names (a la "SVM mirror" to "S9U2" or whatever), then you could do exactly the same thing with IPS, except that the mapping is to a particular version of the incorporation representing the entire WOS. I don't think that's any more work on your part, as long as we provide some way of mapping a marketing name into the version number. Danek
