I am sure some one might have got this working. when i started installing the driver, I thought it should be done in 10/15 min. After spending more than 2 hrs from today morning, I feel I need more help. Any ways, Here is the situation
Solaris 10 x86 11/06, Broadcom Integrated Fast Ethernet controller. downloaded the latest bfe driver from Masayuki Murayama's web page, installed it. I can see the bfe driver in /etc/driver_aliases file and also in /etc/path_to_inst. ifconfig doesnt see the interface. bfe module is not loaded at boot time Here is what I get at start up and copied to /var/adm/messages. scanpci clearly shows the NIC and I checked the vendorid & device id are correct. I am also trying to get DHCP working which is not working as well. I removed 12 from the dhcpagent file, tocuhed the necessary files like dhcp.bfe0,hostname.bfe0,notrouter. removed any host entries from /etc/hosts and /etc/inet/ipnodes, made sure that /etc/nodename has the hostname in it.
