Hmm. I see that the Device Detection tool is useless to me. It assumes a running OS on the system. It seems pretty silly to install an old version of Solaris just to find out what might be stopping the boot-up of a new version of OpenSolaris. The Install Check ISO seems to be working, but if it's too far out of date, that doesn't help either.
Back to square one. Rainer PS I wasn't wanting to use one of the other distros, as I was wanting to see if there were very specific changes between Update 3 and the latest OpenSolaris builds. This message posted from opensolaris.org
