I was able to get past the error and build an AI image by using the new
name in the xml manifest file. This seems like the simplest solution for
now, rather than mess with republishing packages.

The package name that is being used comes from the automated

manifest file. I was also wondering why these have not switched to
the
renamed packages. I would love to just try swapping this one out for
the renamed version in my local .xml file and see if it builds. Is
that worth giving a try, or is the problem really with the dependency
above?
I believe using service/network/smtp/sendmail will work, as it
completely bypasses the package I believe to be causing your problem.
The resulting media should be equivalent, since all pkg would do with
SUNWsndm is chase through the rename to that same package.
I'm still catching up on the thread, but yes it should. Please confirm.
The problem is absolutely not with the other dependency.
(Will start working through alternatives for a real fix.)
The simplest option seems like back-publishing a new
[email protected] since the manifest for [email protected] was
just for the rename anyway and points to
service/network/smtp/[email protected].
Or am I misunderstanding the cause of the original error?
I believe it is the correct option. I don't know how to give concrete
instructions on how to do so at this point.
