hi, i have 2 hard drives on my red Blade 1500, HDD 2*80giga. i would like to stock my data on second hard drive 80 giga. how to can i format ZFS and mount volume ?
You can create ZFS data pool on that disk - it is recommended that data ZFS pools occupy whole disk - you could do something like # zpool create -f data_pool c0t1d0 (replace c0t1d0 with device name of your 2nd disk). ZFS takes care of all necessary steps. You don't need to do anything special to mount the disk, created pool remains visible to the system after reboot. For more information about ZFS, please take a look at ZFS admin guide: http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/download/Community+Group+zfs/docs/zfsadmin.pdf Jan _______________________________________________ install-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/install-discuss
