No, babel_install is not required in any way; the 'entire' incorporation
should be installed to ensure that any updates are correctly
synchronized, but that's about it. And no, there aren't any other

I know many people have asked since then to be able to set properties on
the ZFS root filesystem (like copies, compression or dedup) in the
manifest. I remember the response being that they were planned for the
future.
I haven't followed this list for a long time, has that future arrived?
