Good morning,
I've installed Solaris 11 Express on Sun Blade 1000 using sparc text
install iso image. After installing I've triggered installation using
pkg of slim_install. Unfortunately X does not start and from Xorg log I
can see:
/dev/fb: No such file or directory
Sun Blade 1000 have Elite3D chipset. It appears that drivers for it are
in SUNWafb package. If I'm trying to install it by:
pkg install SUNWafb
I'm getting error:
no updates necessary for this image
I've run pkg info -r SUNWafb and it appears that is marked as Obsolete.
Could you please advise how should I proceed and if Elite3D [UPA] is
supported is Solaris 11 Express?
