Hi INTAREA,

We’ve recently published a significant update to "Communicating Proxy
Configurations in Provisioning Domains”, reflecting changes that were proposed
and discussed at the IETF 122 meeting, and came up in the GitHub since then.

The latest version can be seen here:
https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-ietf-intarea-proxy-config-06.html
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-intarea-proxy-config/

Some of the notable changes:
- Streamlining the destination match rules. This is now a “proxy-match” array,
with separate rules that are evaluated in order to determine which proxy, if
any, supports access to a given destination. This version makes PvD able to
cover the expressivity that was previously possible with PAC files.
- Clarifying use of proprietary keys (using a prefix of vendor name plus “_”)
- DNS hint that a PvD file is available
- Various editorial cleanups, and cleanup to IANA registry definitions based on
IANA comments

With these updates, the authors believe we are in a stable state and ready for
a working group last call.

Best,
Tommy, Dragana, & Yaroslav
