I ran an OA demo in a loop overnight last night and have been abusing the system with bad flips and such today and haven't seen any hangs. Clemens, can you test Stephan's patch to see if it makes your hangs go away? Stephan, what bits are you using? Can you check the above bugs for anything relevant?
