I think we may want to move that particular test to one side, something along 
the lines of i915.disable_gpu=1 ?

Just to clarify on how to proceed with the fix. I'm not sure if the suggestion 
is to go back to the previous version of 
the patch or to go for a different approach. It also looks like this issue will 
be flaggin up on the public CI, following the
changes Arek has said will be made to the dmesg style.
