Hi, As far as I understand Qt's bearer management feature is not relevant for desktop (including laptop) systems where connectivity is handled by the system and a priori permanent. So why does an application that just wants to do simple stuff over a network connection (and use Qt APIs for that) need to spawn a special thread? Is there a way to indicate that you have no use for the bearer stuff and not have it waste resources?
