Yes, it seems your are right.

SecureTransport is deprecated by Apple, but the backend is still the default in 
6.3. So unless Alexander explicitly enabled OpenSSL for one or the other, it 
wouldn’t expect big changes here.

I did not. How can I force Qt to use OpenSSL on macOS? I've tried to put OpenSSL libraries into Frameworks folder, but that did not help.
