I’m following this mailing list. There is indeed no intention to break behavior 
that’s been predictable and stable since Qt 4 (and probably Qt 3 and Qt 2) days.

And the best way to avoid the top-posting issue is to have this conversation in 
the comments on the JIRA ticket ;)
