Well, I am still not having any luck. Used MacPing to figure out the Appletalk address, added them to the Map. Twice one the servers dropped from the chooser in OS9 and from connect to server in OSX.

Still accessible using the IP address, just not listed. The only recovering was to stop the service, deactivate appletalk in the network connections properties, reactivate and restart the service.

Still, Intermapper reported everything was fine and available.

Guess I have more to do. Thanks everyone for your responses and suggestions.

It should work to add a new device as the Appletalk name (not
address) of the AFP server on the Windows machine. InterMapper will
periodically try to resolve the name, and I expect it would fail
under the same conditions as exist when the server and printers drop
from the Chooser/Connect To Server window. Note that it may take some
time for this to happen, as the frequency of this check is determined
by the "Minimum interval between checking DNS" setting in the DNS
Monitor preference, for which two minutes is the minimum interval.
